Day 1: Istanbul 23rd April 2010
Arrive to Istanbul and FREE TRANSFER from airport to your hotel. C/in to hotel and overnight. Optional Turkish Night. Belly dancer and typical Turkish night show with 4 course dinner and unlimited local drink.
Day 2: Istanbul 24th April 2010
After breakfast departure from hotel at 12:30 pm. 1:00 pm Depart for Eceabat from Istanbul.
There will be a rest stop half way where you can buy nibbles for the night ahead.
18:00 Enter the town of Eceabat where we will grab our Gallipoli goodies bag and home made pie for munching on for our drive to the service site. 19:00 Join the convoy of AnzacTour.com buses for departure to the Dawn Service site where we will grab a space in the large crowd and wait, listening to the pre dawn program. We recommend you to bring sleeping beg, blanket or heavy clots to keep you warm.
Day 3: Gallipoli-Dawn Service-Ayvalik 25th April 2010
05:30 Dawn Service commences as the sun breaks the skyline behind the Turkish Sphinx. 07:30 While waiting for your bus to transfer you to the next service you can eat breakfast on the grass with the group or feel free to tell your leader that you want to go exploring; take your breakfast-pack and walk the ridges and old trenches to the next service. Australian and/or New Zealand National services. departure to Ayvalik, on the way visit Troy antique site. Arrive to hotel at 8:00 pm. dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Ayvalik-Kusadasi 26th April 2010
After breakfast drive to Pergamum and visit Acropolis Roman Site. After lunch (not included) visit carpet cooperative, where they grow cotton and excellent experience silk process from silk cocoons, you can see thousand of hand made carpets from all around Turkey. Departure for Kusadasi. C/in to hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Kusadasi-Ephesus-Pamukkale 27th April 2010
After breakfast visit Ephesus Antique Roman city, Lunch (not included), afternoon drive to Pamukkale. C/in to hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Pamukkale-Fethiye 28th April 2010
After breakfast visit Pamukkale antique Hierapolis Roman Site, white calcium Travertine and drive to Fethiye. On the way visit Saklikent Canyon and lunch (not included). Afternoon C/in to hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Sailing the Mediterranean 29th April 2010
Embark on a boat, after breakfast depart from Fethiye marina. There are opportunities to swimming at Ag Bay, before lunch is served. This evening we anchor in Hamam (Turkish Bath) Bay. Dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Sailing the Mediterranean 30th April 2010
Breakfast is served on deck before we continue cruising for Bedri Rahmi Bay where we can enjoy a swim stop. Lunch and dinner on-board and we rest nearby Tersane Island. Dinner on the deck and overnight.
Day 9: Sailing the Mediterranean 1st May 2010
We sail to Gocek Island to swimming, snorkel or just soak up the rays. After lunch, we continue to Red Island or Samanlik Bay before returning to Fethiye Marina where our sailing experience comes to an end. Disembark from the boat and transfer to your hotel. Dinner will be served in the hotel and overnight.
Day 10: Fethiye – Istanbul 2nd May 2010
After breakfast departure to Istanbul. Afternoon arrive to Istanbul and end of the service
